CAN CBD HELP WITH ANXIETY?
Several studies point to the potential benefits of CBD for anxiety.
For general anxiety, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) says that CBD has been shown to reduce stress. During the study, observed subjects displayed lower behavioral signs of anxiety. Physiological symptoms of anxiety including accelerated heart rate also improved. CBD has also shown promise with other forms of anxiety, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Also the more common social anxiety that many people experience on a daily basis.
According to studies, CBD has been shown to help with PTSD symptoms such as recurring negative memories and nightmares. During these studies, CBD was viewed as both a supplement to cognitive behavioral therapy and traditional treatments like medication, and as a standalone PTSD treatment.
